We have a Golden who inhales his food. In fact, he has an amazing resemblance to my Shop-Vac when he's eating.
This has slowed him somewhat, but it's certainly not a relaxing dinner over a glass of wine. It's probably a 50% improvement - from a 30 second affair out to maybe 45 seconds.
We also tried one of the bowls with the built-in obstructions. He pushed it all over the room trying to get to his food.
