I got this at my local feed store after I saw it in a video. My dog has long facial fur so he drips enough that we don't need any splashing. I wouldn't say this bowl is "no-spill" but I would call it "splash-limiting" or "reduced-splash." It is impressive how little or rather how slowly it spills even when you turn it totally upside down.
I bought this for and intend to primarily use it in the kitchen to reduce water on the floor. My dog can easily go for 8 hours without water, especially when he's just sitting in the crate, so for travel I would water him when we stop. He's going to have to urinate anyway. I keep traveling water in a bottle or get it from the destination. I would use a stainless bowl because this one will get UV damage and broken up in the back of the truck.
My main suggestion for improvement would be to make this bowl in stainless steel, and with a larger reservoir capacity. It could probably be made with stamped metal parts without any machining or welding. If it was metal, I would buy a couple more for the backyard and the back of the truck.Get more detail about Road Refresher No Spill Portable Pet Bowl.
