We originally purchased to bring water with us when we went to the dog beach in Florida, it is compact,easy to carry, and works well. A lot easier to manipulate than a big jug of water and bowl. You can pour water directly into attached bowl, then when drinking is complete, you can tip water back into bottle or discard. There is no spilling or leaking.
Recently we traveled with two dogs from Florida to New Hampshire and with every rest stop were able to give water to dogs. The size is compact so it didn't take up much room icn our packed car.
