We've used a Le Bistro waterer now for a couple of years. With two thirsty retrievers, it's nice to not have to fill up the water bowl every two hours. The water level is kept constant at a nice height that does a good job of keeping the dogs from slopping the water on the floor.
My only problem with the product is that a few design choices have made it a lot harder to clean than it really needed to be. There are two raised discs in the bowl area probably from where it was molded. They're only a few thousandths of an inch high, but still require a thorough scrubbing daily to keep clean.
In addition, the inlet where the water flows from the container portion into the bowl is recessed making it near impossible to clean thoroughly from the back. The nozzle side of it which feeds into the bowl is also a bit hard to deal with as it's raised and creates an arch shaped corner that's hard to get into with anything bigger than a pipe cleaner.
These aren't deal breakers in my opinion. It's function far outweighs it's problems. Just be aware that it's going to require more maintenance than a plain old bowl.
Another caveat, when it's nearly empty, it's very light and a bit top heavy. It's easy for the dogs to head butt the container while getting a drink and tip it over, spilling the remaining water all over the place. This is easy to avoid by keeping it topped off though.Get more detail about Le Bistro Waterer - Medium - 2.75 Gallon Capacity.
