I chose to ignore the bad reviews on here and try this out for myself. I had high hopes for it and was even willing to deal with non-perfection. Unfortunately, it didn't work at all. The thing never spun properly so that food was always halfway exposed or it didn't move at all.
Ergo did replace the timer/spinner for me 4 times and each one had the same issue. I tried loosening the screws, tightening the screws, etc etc. I spent hours trying to adjust this product to make it work and nothing helped.
Fortunately Amazon let me return it without a problem. I will just be purchasing the same 6 day feeder that I love (this way if I need to have my cat fed more often I can set it for different hours).Get more detail about Ergo 8-Day Auto Pet Feeder.
