The problem described by "Moondrake" is not limited to high altitudes. I had a similar, though not so dramatic experience in South Florida (near sea level.) I had two of these bowls, size large. After about 6 months the rim of the first one split. The second split about 3 months later and then split in a second location about a month after that. The split creates a sharp edge that may be dangerous. It appears that the design/fabrication creates too much tension in the metal and that it eventually fatigues and cracks open. Not good!
The bowl didn't slow my Labradors eating much but it proved useful as a water bowl, reducing the amount of playing in the water.Get more detail about Durapet Slow Feed, Large.
