The good: This timer worked for about 2.5 years. Battery backup, one outlet on the timer, one outlet always hot. Programming wasn't bad, and it allows you control down to the second.
The bad: It did lose time, slowly. After about 2.5 years, it stopped working. It still ran on battery power, but not while plugged in.
Honestly, 2.5 years of daily use is a decent lifetime for a $25 product. I guess I can't say I was ripped off. I didn't call the company, as it just seemed to easier to get a new one.
This time, I bought an Intermatic for the same price.
