I've had glass water bottles before and never had a problem. When I got mine, though, I was disappointed. There was a small plastic floater inside the glass bottle, and try as I may, I couldn't get it out. I know people who buy glass bottles typically do so because animals will chew on them and that can be bad for their health, however, the toxins in plastic can leech out into water, so having any plastic prolonged direct contact with water is a bad idea. Most people probably aren't worried about one tiny floater, and because this is only my rabbits travel bottle I'm not too concerned.
