I used this bowl all winter--the coldest it got was 6 degrees F. I put the canned cat food on one side of the bowl first and then dry on the other side. The wet canned food stayed unfrozen allowing my feral cats to eat it easily. So I have to disagree with the comment that it does not keep canned food edible.
