This is a very good feeder for the price. I gave it a try a try because of the great price and because I was tired of all of the thistle seed that was wasted on the ground using the mesh bag thistle seed feeders. This feeder cuts down on wasted thistle seed. Most of the seed drops into the tray and what doesn't get eaten I just scoop up and put back into the container. It also holds a lot of seed and lets many birds feed comfortably at once.
