I actually use this as a small trash can in my bathroom. My dog loves to dig in the trash and I used to just keep the bathroom door closed when I was not at home. However I recently moved and my dog has figured out how to open the bathroom door. I was very tired of cleaning up the mess daily and couldn't figure out a solution. I tried to find a trash can with a locking lid and had no luck unless I wanted an industrial one in my bathroom. I came across this jar by chance and it has solved all of my problems.
