We bought this water dish after seeing it at my parent's house. My parents put a Y connector on a garage sink and have the dish in the garage. We put the Y connector on the faucet outside and have had no problems. It doesn't leak, it always is full, and the it's big enough for our 2 dogs (1 black lab/1 boxer) to share. I expect we'll bring it inside during the winter so it won't freeze but haven't figured out where to put it yet.
